Do you feel overwhelmed with daily tasks of things to do? Does cleaning and picking up seem like a never ending list ? I feel ya, having three kids who make messes every time they eat, play or switch activities. I can attest that it can feel impossible to stay on top of everything. This is the list that will help you keep up with all the things throughout the days weeks and even month so your house is always feeling fresh and clean. Feel free to rearrange the tasks to fit your lifestyle and what works best for your family.

Tips for a Tidy Home

Daily Chores – these are daily tasks that are necessary to keeping your home in tip top shape

•Make bed – doing this first thing after waking up will get your day started and instantly tidy up your room

•unload/load dishes – doing dishes straight away will help keep from having a buildup and daunting mountain of sippy cups and plates to do at the end of the day

•wipe counters – also do this after preparing each meal

•vacuum living/high traffic areas – I end up vacuuming after each snack and meal to keep up on crumbs

•do one/two loads – I do laundry during weekdays to stay on top of it and it gives me a break during the weekends

•takeout trash – this can be done every other day but taking out the trash every night can keep your home smelling fresh and clean

Weekly Chores – doing one weekly chore daily on top of your normal daily chores will help to balance out your to do list

Sunday •wash bedding -doing this weekly/every other week on Sunday will give you fresh sheets for the beginning of your week

Monday •dust – dusting is often overlooked but getting to those places that aren’t touched much will help keep a tidy home

Tuesday •clean windows and mirrors -with kids handprints smudged everywhere and toothpaste splatters this is a must

Wednesday •deep clean bathrooms -scrubbing toilets and tubs can be a dirty job but doing it weekly you’ll find it less of a task

Thursday •vacuum bedrooms – you can get away will vacuuming bedrooms once a week

Friday •monthly chore – picking a monthly chore to do once a week is a good way to also balance out your schedule

Monthly Chores – split these four chores to do once every week

Week 1 •clean refrigerator -organizing and getting rid of old expired condiments or food will keep your fridge appealing and decluttered

Week 2 •organize pantry -this also helps you keep inventory on what foods you have so you can plan and prepare for what you need

Week 3 •shred mail -getting rid of mail and excess papers keeps your junk drawers and desk less cluttered and organized

Week 4 •organize closet/dresser -this helps keep clothes where they belong so you can easily put them away each day without shoving them in overcrowded dressers or closets

I hope this list helps and motivates you!! It may look like a lot but these simple things will make a huge difference and stop the buildup of tasks that make keeping a home clean seem impossible. Good luck and happy cleaning ❤️

What fills you up ?

My journey to fulfillment is a journey to find self love. Becoming a mom and wife it’s easy to lose your identity. You can forget what fills you up and your perspective and desires change. My greatest passion is being a safe place for my kids and husband. I really do enjoy being a mother and wife but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t hard & testing times.

I want to start this journey to find myself and fulfill my own wants and needs. I know that doing so will only make me better for those I love. Doing the things that make you feel alive can only light you up so that you can light up those around you. I want to take my family on adventures, read books that motivate me, eat delicious foods that inspire me and most of all love like I’ve never loved before.

Journey to ….

Contributing financially for my family

Becoming a Rockstar mom

A debt free life

A relationship to be proud of

Adventures we’ve dreamt of

Creating an amazing future for my kids

Motivating others to start a journey of their own

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
